Consequences of a DUI conviction may include license suspension, fines, mandatory alcohol education programs, increased insurance rates, and, in some cases, jail time, especially for repeat offenses or DUIs involving accidents with injuries.

Compensation in personal injury cases may include medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and, in some cases, punitive damages if the defendant’s actions were particularly egregious.

While minor traffic violations may not always require legal representation, it’s beneficial to consult with an attorney, especially if you’re facing serious charges such as reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, or multiple violations that could result in license suspension.

Yes, you have the right to contest a traffic ticket in South Carolina. An experienced traffic defense attorney can review the circumstances of your ticket, examine the evidence, challenge the validity of the ticket, and represent you in court to seek a reduction or dismissal of the charges.

The timeline for resolving a case depends on various factors, such as the complexity of the case, negotiations with opposing parties, court schedules, and the need for trials. Your attorney can provide a better estimate based on the specifics of your situation.

Common defenses against DUI charges may include challenging the accuracy of breathalyzer or blood test results, questioning the legality of the traffic stop or arrest procedures, demonstrating medical conditions that could affect test results, or proving a lack of probable cause for the arrest.
