About Attorney C. Austin mcDaniel
Austin McDaniel is a seasoned criminal defense attorney based in Anderson, Clemson, and Oconee, SC. With a career spanning over a decade, Austin has successfully defended clients across a wide spectrum of criminal cases, from misdemeanor traffic offenses to serious felony charges.
Prior to establishing his own law firm in 2014, Austin gained invaluable experience at the Cole Law Firm, where he was recruited by legendary DUI defense attorney Ronnie Cole. His dedication to DUI defense is underscored by hundreds of hours of education and training, including completion of the breath-test courses on the operation of the DataMaster DMT and the NHTSA practitioner’s courses on Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, Advance Road Impaired Driving Evaluation (ARIDE), and the Drug Recognition and Evaluation Course.
Austin is a proud member of the National College for DUI Defense and has been recognized for his knowledge and dedication by lecturing on DUI defense strategies and related criminal law issues in South Carolina. While his primary focus remains on DUI defense, Austin continues to successfully represent clients in a variety of criminal cases in State and Summary courts throughout South Carolina.

Samantha Horton is a dedicated paralegal at C. Austin McDaniel’s law firm, bringing valuable support and assistance to the legal team. Born and raised in Anderson, Samantha is a graduate of TL Hanna High School and holds a Sociology degree from Clemson University.
Since joining Austin’s practice in 2015, Samantha has played a crucial role in client relations and case management. Her attention to detail and organizational skills ensure smooth operations within the firm, from client intake to case preparation.
Outside of work, Samantha is passionate about her dogs, enjoys cheering for Clemson Football and the Atlanta Braves, and is an avid fan of The Office.
